Friends host The Tanglewood Marionettes Cinderella
On Sunday afternoon, November 17th, the Friends of the Goodnow Library hosted The Tanglewood Marionettes who performed Cinderella before an enthusiastic audience of 150 parents and children who were treated to a charming and creative version of this favorite childhood story. Prior to the performance, the audience learned about various types of puppets and the performance was followed by a question and answer session in which attendees were able to see the marionettes up close and touch them. This free program was made possible by a generous bequest from Stella and Frank Ricciardi.

Friends of the Goodnow Library Acknowledge Generous Bequest from the Estate of Beverly Anderson
The Friends of the Goodnow Library are pleased to announce a very generous bequest from the estate of Beverly Anderson. Beverly was a longtime resident of Sudbury and passed away peacefully at home in 2022 at age 92. She was a longtime member of the Friends of the Goodnow Library. Beverly loved to read and was a member of multiple book clubs. She read voraciously, valued books, and was an advocate for the Friends of the Goodnow Library.
Beverly was a life-long learner and took classes at the Sudbury Senior Center. Beverly’s many other interests included art in any form especially fashion and flower arranging. She was admired for her fashion sense and always looked her best. She was a self-taught artist, and she loved gardening and flower arranging. Beverly and her husband Phil loved to travel all over the world and visited more than 45 Elder Hostels.
Beverly and her husband never had any children, and she chose to leave generous bequests to various Sudbury nonprofits. The Friends of the Goodnow Library are very proud and grateful that Beverly chose to support us over the years. We are working hard to find a suitable way to honor her trust and generosity.

Condolences
Hale Lamont-Havers
The Friends of the Goodnow Library extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Hale Lamont-Havers. Hale was a loyal, long-time member of the Friends and served on the board. She was also a former Goodnow Library Trustee.
For many years, Hale was also a dedicated, hardworking member of the Friends Book Sale Committee. Hale spent long hours sorting nonfiction donations for the Friends Annual Spring Book Sale. Books were her passion, and she assembled her own personal library of more than 3,000 books. She was especially fond of true crime. Her book sale colleagues could always count on great recommendations to add their reading lists. We shall miss her.
Rich Davison
Rich Davison was a trustee of the Sudbury Foundation for 30 years. He was also an active volunteer for numerous Sudbury nonprofits. Rich was a dedicated member of the Build for the Future Capital Campaign that was organized and run by the Goodnow Library Trustees and the Friends of the Goodnow Library. Rich was also involved in the renovation of the historic wing of the Goodnow Library.
On behalf of the Friends of the Goodnow Library, the board would like to extend its deepest sympathy to Rich’s family and friends. He was a beloved and respected member of the Sudbury nonprofit community.
