Volunteer with the Friends
Our volunteers have more fun!
Do you have a few hours each month to help sort book donations for our book sales? Can you share a favorite recipe with us at our bake sale? Would you like to help out with library events? Are you skilled in public relations, marketing, or graphic design?
If you’re looking for new opportunities to use your time and talents—and if you’re interested in supporting the library—the Friends of the Goodnow Library is the place for you. We need volunteers of all kinds to help us plan and carry out our programs.
Join other fun, interesting, and dedicated people in volunteering for Friends programs, events, and special projects. No long-term commitment is required; you can volunteer whatever amount of time works for you.
We need people like you to:
If you are interested in helping, please contact the Friends. We would be happy to match opportunities to your interests, skills, and the time you have available. You can contact us by downloading and mailing our Membership and Volunteer Form or by completing the online form below.

GARDEN WITH FRIENDS
The Friends of the Goodnow Library Garden Committee welcomes volunteers to help with planting and maintenance of the library’s beautiful entry gardens.
You can join us on a one-time or monthly basis to help with planting, weeding, watering, deadheading, and beautifying. We supply the tools; all you need are gardening gloves and enthusiasm.
If you would like to join our fun and energetic group of volunteers, email us at this address: firstname.lastname@example.org
SUPPORT THE GARDEN
Please note: We are not accepting donations at this time.
If you’re unable to volunteer but would like to contribute, you can designate a donation for our garden project.
We'd love to add some restful benches where patrons can relax and enjoy the gardens. This is a perfect opportunity to honor a special person in your life!
Please leave your donation at the library with a note specifying that it is for the garden project, or mail it to us:
